Fun & Creativity

Art

Art provides a way of expressing human behavior and experience. The child's visual awareness of color, coupled with form and line, become a part of a child's everyday life and experience. Materials will be places within reach in an effort to encourage children to become involved in art projects.

Dramatic Play

Through meaningful experiences in expressive play, young children develop positive, comfortable feelings about themselves. They develop socio-emotional skills by playing out situations, which help them learn more about themselves, their friends, and the world around them.

Mail & Writing

This center focuses on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The kids can practice expressing themselves and their feelings while learning the basic domains of writing. Plus, they get to write and mail letters to friends and family members.

Blocks & Building

One of the children's favorite centers to learn in. Children can improve their motor skills, practice problem solving, and learn to work together. Block play enables kids to explore their creative side by building unique structures and communities with blocks. Blocks also teach children basic engineering and architecture concepts.

Puzzles & Games

This center provides an area for our children to practice their math and manipulatives. This center will help the children to further develop their fine motor skills and better understand beginning math concepts. They also practice their problem solving skills and improve their hand-eye coordination.

Science

Children are naturally curious about the world around them, by teaching science to preschool children we can enhance their interest and help them learn to explore their environment. A science center will present opportunities for the children to learn and develop many concepts including math, critical thinking, problem solving, literacy, and language.
